• Course description:

This course is designed to familiarize the students with the basic chemical and physical properties of fuels and lubricants used for the operation and maintenance of transport equipment. Understanding the process of combustion and energy conversion in internal combustion engines and the catalytic treatment of exhaust gases, obtaining a basic knowledge about the process of lubrication and the use of lubricating agents and the ability of classification of lubricating substances with respect to the composition, properties and application area are also included in course objectives.
